Terms of Use
Effective date: October 3, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the operator of Bible Avatars (“we”, “us”) about your use of Bible Avatars, on the web and in the iOS app. By creating an account or using Bible Avatars, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Bible Avatars.
Who can use Bible Avatars
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the age of digital consent where you live is higher. Bible Avatars is not directed at children.
Your account
Give accurate information when you join, and keep your sign-in links and PIN to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not create accounts for other people or share yours.
Community rules: zero tolerance
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Bible Avatars. You must not post, send, or try to get an avatar to produce:
- harassment, bullying or intimidation of anyone;
- hate speech, or attacks on people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics;
- sexual or sexually explicit content;
- threats, or content that promotes or glorifies violence;
- spam, scams or unsolicited advertising;
- impersonation of another person or organization;
- anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
Do not misuse Bible Avatars, for example by trying to break its security, scraping it, overloading it or getting around a block.
We act on reports within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and remove the accounts of the users who post it, and we may do so without notice.
Reporting and blocking
You can report any message, avatar reply or person that breaks these rules, and block anyone you no longer want to hear from. Reports reach the operator without your name. Our Support page explains how.
AI avatars
The avatars are AI portrayals of biblical figures. They are not the real people and do not speak for any church, and their replies can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of character. Members labeled as AI members are bots.
Nothing an avatar says is pastoral, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Check what you read against Scripture, and talk to a pastor or a qualified professional about decisions that matter.
Bible Avatars is not an emergency service and is no substitute for emergency help. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number now. In the United States, call or text 988.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write and say on Bible Avatars. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit and display it only as needed to operate Bible Avatars, for example to show your messages to the people in a shared conversation and to review reports. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the copies we keep as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm that you have the right to post it.
Tips
Tips are voluntary. They unlock nothing: no features, characters, minutes or content. In the iOS app, tips are processed by Apple, and Apple’s terms, including its refund policy, apply to them.
Ending your use
You can stop using Bible Avatars at any time and delete your account from your Profile. We may suspend or end your access at any time if you break these Terms, or if we stop offering Bible Avatars.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Bible Avatars is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything an avatar or another user says. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Additional terms for the iOS app
If you use Bible Avatars on an iPhone, the following also applies:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) applies to your use of the app to the extent these Terms do not supersede it.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.
Scripture
Scripture quoted by Bible Avatars comes from free texts: the King James Version in English (in the public domain outside the United Kingdom, where it is under Crown letters patent), the Bíblia Livre in Portuguese (CC BY 4.0 Brasil) and the Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish (public domain); see Support, Acknowledgements. The avatars speak in their own words and may quote or paraphrase Scripture from memory, which can be inexact, especially in Portuguese and Spanish, so check any verse against your own Bible.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version. When a change requires your agreement, we will ask you to accept it in the app before you continue. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
